Best-Ball
An 18-hole low net tournament for teams of two players with a maximum combined handicap index of 60.8 and a maximum individual limit of 40.4. Players will score one net best ball of the two.
Chapman Scotch
An 18-hole low net tournament for teams of two players with a maximum combined handicap index of 60.8 and a maximum individual limit of 40.4.
Alternate shot play. Each player drives the ball. The players then hit each other’s drive. They then select one ball to be played in, alternating shots until the ball is holed out.
CWGA Home Days
An 18-hole low net / low gross tournament played by CWGA MEMBERS ONLY at their home club. Certificates are awarded for the top three places in both net and gross categories. Only in this CWGA event may participants follow the local rules of their own club. The home club association may govern handicap limit.
CWGA Open
An 18-hole low net / low gross tournament for individual players with a handicap index of 40.4 or lower. Stroke Play.
Solheim Cup
An 18-hole low net tournament for teams of two players. Players will sign up as an individual and will be paired with another individual to form a two-person team to represent either the EAST or the WEST. Maximum individual handicap index limit of 40.4.
Teams of two players from the EAST will compete against teams of two players from the WEST.

EAST is comprised of the following clubs: Beechmont, Canterbury, Chagrin Valley, Country, Kirtland, Mayfield Sand Ridge, and Shaker.

WEST is comprised of the following clubs: Avon Oaks, Barrington, Columbia Hills, Elyria, Lake Forest, Lakewood, and Westwood.
Holes 1 through 9 are played as a Best Ball format. Players will score one net best ball of the two-person team.
Holes 10 through 18 will be a Shamble format. Each player drives the ball. The players select the drive to use and then play their own ball in from that point. Players will score one net best ball of the two.
Stableford
An 18-hole Stroke Play tournament for individual players with a handicap index of 40.4 or lower.
Individuals will tabulate their handicapped score for the Stableford portion of the Tournament.
This tournament is a qualifier for the Past Presidents’ Award and participants must “hole-out” and record their gross score on every hole.
Spring Shamble
An 18-hole low net tournament. Players will sign up as a twosome and will be paired with another twosome to create one 4-person team. Maximum combined handicap index per twosome is 60.8 with a maximum individual handicap index of 40.4.
Each player drives the ball. The team will select which drive to use and then each player will play their own ball in from that point.
The team must use at least three drives from each player. The team will score two net best balls of the foursome for each hole.
Two Ball
An 18-hole low net tournament. Players will sign up as a twosome and will be paired with another twosome to create one 4-person team. Maximum combined handicap index per twosome is 60.8 with a maximum individual handicap index of 40.4.
The team will score two net best balls of the foursome for each hole.
CWGA District Championship
A four-day tournament comprised of an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round the first day followed by three days of match play. Players are then paired for the match play rounds based on their qualifying round scores. The championship flight shall be comprised of 16 players. All other flights will have 8 players. Players are guaranteed three games. The winner of the championship flight receives a trophy and a prize. Flight winners and runners-up receive prizes.
Team Play
The team with the highest point total for the year wins the Team Championship Trophy. The Runner-Up Trophy is awarded to the second-place team. The team having most improved its standing from the previous season receives the Most Improved Team Trophy. Commemorative plaques are awarded to teams finishing 1 through 5 and most improved.
CWGA Cup
This trophy is presented to that individual who accrues the highest number of points through both her participation and places of finish in this year’s tournaments.
Past Presidents’ Award
This trophy is presented to that individual who has the lowest gross score average for any two rounds of stroke play in the following events: the CWGA Open, Tri-League, and the Qualifying Round of the CWGA Championship.
NOTE: No one individual may win both trophies in a given year. The President’s Cup will take precedence over the CWGA cup.
